Shirley Lee is passionate about improving patient safety and advocating for equity in healthcare for our patients. Dr. Lee is an Emergency Medicine physician, the Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Chair of the Coalition for Physician Learning and Practice Improvement. She previously served as the Associate Senior Physician Advisor (Safe Medical Care-Learning) at the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). She is interested in optimizing team performance especially in dealing with change and healthcare complexity.
