BHSc, MA

Maxime Lê has been a patient advisor at The Ottawa Hospital and Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since 2017. He has since become a board member of the Patient Advisors Network, and co-chairs the Ontario Health East region Patient and Family Advisory Council. Being francophone, racialized, and living with chronic illness and an invisible disability, Maxime applies his experience of intersectionality into the work he does, specializing in health communication. He is excited to wear his patient partner and health communicator hats to rebuild trust and improve health for equity-deserving groups with EqHS Lab.

We acknowledge that the EqHS Lab is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg. We have the privilege and responsibility to serve First Nations, Métis and Inuit of many backgrounds and from many treaty lands and to demonstrate respect for Indigenous people’s contributions and culture. We also acknowledge traditional knowledge and healing developed over countless generations.
