Saadia Jan is a comprehensive family physician, medical educator, physician leader, mentor, wife, mother of three, an avid reader and love fashion. Dr. Jan has been an immigrant settler in Canada for the last 2 decades and has benefited from her academic privilege. Among her many identities which impact her work, practice and relationships, is being a woman, a woman of color and a Muslim. Dr. Jan's goal for being a member of this community is to learn, engage and propagate the knowledge and skills needed further the EDID concepts broadly and within the Department of Family Medicine at Western University, where she is the EDID lead.
