Ricky Ellis is a UK-based clinician, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and Post-Doctoral Research Associate for the Intercollegiate Committee for Surgical Examinations. Ricky's use of big data in medical education research has focussed on differential attainment in assessment outcomes and career progression. This research has won numerous national and international awards and has driven strategic change at the national level, aiming to tackle differential attainment. He is part of the Intercollegiate Research Task Force working to eliminate differential attainment in UK surgical training and is a regional School of Surgery representative on the differential attainment working group. He is a research supervisor and strategic adviser to research groups and organisations working across several medical specialties.
