Cassandra Barber completed her PhD in the School of Health Professions Education (SHE), Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, at Maastricht University and is a sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto. Dr. Barber is a trained demographer, completing a master’s degree in sociology, specializing in migration and ethic relations. Using a multidisciplinary approach to quantify social problems, Dr.. Barber’s program of research focuses broadly on social accountability in health professions education and explores how large-scale data can be used to estimate links between educational outcomes and population health to identify areas for improvement.
