Oluseyi Akinola is an Internationally educated Academic Family Physician, triple licensed in Nigeria, United Kingdom and Canada with a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina, United States. She is a Clinician Educator with the University of Calgary, AB who has a special interest in Vulnerable and Underserved populations, and a family physician at the Refugee Health Clinic, Calgary. She is an executive board member of the Black Physicians of Canada (Secretary), and sits on several EDIA committees within her University and external organizations.  Dr. Akinola is a committed advocate for the integration of internationally educated physicians and passionate about racially concordant mentorship for young people from marginalized and underrepresented populations. A public speaker, author, blogger, and recipient of the 2023 International Women's Day, Woman of Distinction Award for her leadership and continued commitment towards her community in Calgary AB.
