Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity, & Accessibility (EDIA) Cross-Theme Supports for Team Primary Care

About the Readiness Assessment Tool Working Group

The Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) readiness assessment tool is specifically crafted for health professionals in primary care. Serving as an activity, the tool prompts health professionals to reflect on their personal knowledge and practical experiences, guiding them to respond to a series of items related to EDIA indicators.

The tool aims to identify both strengths and educational opportunities, empowering health professionals to enhance their knowledge and capabilities in fostering a more inclusive and equitable practice. Upon completing the readiness assessment, respondents receive a list of recommended educational resources for further learning and professional development. These insights allow health professionals to tailor their continuous professional learning initiatives based on the provided recommendations, aligning their efforts with their current state of readiness.

We acknowledge that the EqHS Lab is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg. We have the privilege and responsibility to serve First Nations, Métis and Inuit of many backgrounds and from many treaty lands and to demonstrate respect for Indigenous people’s contributions and culture. We also acknowledge traditional knowledge and healing developed over countless generations.
